Performance
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler uses the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, which produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Although the V6 is hitched to a 6-speed manual transmission, you have the option of swapping it with a 5-speed automatic gearbox for increased convenience. You can configure the Wrangler with either a rear-wheel drivetrain (4x2) or a four-wheel drivetrain (4x4). The 4x4 system available on all trims but the Rubicon trim level is the Command-Trac® system. Only the Rubicon and Rubicon Recon use the Rock-Trac® 4x4 system, which is optimized for the roughest of trails and terrain.
Interior and Features
Maximum occupancy on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler depends on the bodystyle you go with. The two-door can accommodate up to four people while the four-door seats up to five. Standard at the base level are features like cloth upholstery, eight-speaker audio, AM/FM, and an auxiliary audio jack for connecting mobile devices. Options and upper-level features include cloth-and-leather-trimmed seats, leather upholstery, front-seat heating capability, black leather seats with red accent stitching, a complimentary one-year SiriusXM® satellite radio subscription, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic temperature control, a USB port for charging electronic devices, Bluetooth® wireless technology for hands-free phone operation and audio streaming, and an electronic vehicle information center.
Safety
Standard safety features on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler include electronic vehicle stability control with roll mitigation, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, hill start assist control, hydraulic assist brake boosting, traction control, speed control, and dual advanced multistage front airbags. For security, the Wrangler combines remote keyless entry with an engine immobilizer; a panic alarm is added on all trims but the Sport and regular Willys Wheeler.
